Revised again...
Just a little more fine tuning on the water, and changed the color of the atmosphere towards a more reddish look.

First render with my new PC instead of the stupid notebook, which constantly got the colors wrong... Now that I'm using my good old CRT again, I hope that what I get is what you see, eventually.

Rendered with Vue 6 in 16hrs@3.2k (instead of over a day @ 2.4k)
Post work with GIMP

Thank you so much! :)
Finally a version, with which I'm almost (but not quite) entirely happy.

Although, the water is still not perfect, but that's due to the function I used to create the rolling waves. And the foam doesn't look right. In fact, it's hardly noticable. I think I gotta find a way to give it some volume so that it actually sits on top of the water, instead of simply being layerd using alpha. Don't know...

i have never tried to make foam in my water scenes :) i need to though. makes it look more realistic :) - won't be until after next month, though, i only have time for quick renders right now :(

Well, the PLE comes with a Foam layer (and many more material layers) which basically just has to be added on top of the water mat. Uses the "distance to object below" input node and a few map filters which go into the alpha output.
Doesn't look that realistic, though. As I said, this foam would need a little volume, so that it would scatter the light correctly. Unfortunately you can only layer simple materials. Haven't tried to achieve this with mixed materials. But that's definitely next on my list. ;)

Don't know why, but the "Material Layers" weren't included in the full version. Infinite or xStream, that is.
I guess I'll first have a look at the PLE of v7, befor I even think about upgrading. ;)
